Eccentric Drill Bit

When the drill bit is rotated, a lateral force (centrifugal force) is generated to cut the hole wall and enlarge the hole diameter. Eccentric drill bits are used to extend the depth of casing penetration or to enlarge easy-to-reduce hole sections.
